All I want to do is get a temperature cooling plot of an object. The object is moved from a warmer place to a cooler place. The heat transfer is done 100% via convection.

Now, to run the transient analysis, Mechanica says I have to add heat load. In my case, there is no heat load. I know the initial temperature of the object before cooling takes place.

This seems like a piece of cake, but Mechanica won't let me run with zero heat load.

Has anyone done this before?

Mechanica can't calculate convection itself.

You have to define a convection boudary condition.
