Does anyone know if its possible to simulate a steel plate that is subjected to a high convection coefficient and high bulk temp for the, say, first 4 - 5 seconds, and then subsequently be subjected to a low convection coefficient and low bulk temp for the remaining 2-3 minutes?

I want to simulate a steel plate that is subjected to a welding torch on one side of the plate for 4-5 seconds and then move the welding torch away from the plate. From there, I want to monitor the temperature rise on the opposite side of the plate.

Simply put, is it possible to model this transient thermal analysis in one simulation or do I need to separate the two events?

Thanks,
