I need to provide single phase 240V, 125 A to a medical device. Problem is, the only source I have is 3- phase 208V Y.
Suggestions?
 
Using a 5kVA 240V-to-32V buck/boost transformer, a load of 156A @ 236V could be served from a 208V supply. Note that only a 2-wire load could be served, and not a 3-wire (120/240V) load. One application guide is at The 236V-circuit voltages to neutral will be significantly unbalanced. NEC Article 450 requirements apply.
 

Note that the load on the 208V circuit will not be balanced. Only two phases will have load current. For a 125A/236V load, the phase current on the 208V side will be ~144A.

There is a variation on the listed single buck/boost transformer configuration that will give closer to 240V on the higher-voltage terminals, but will serve somewhat lower current.

Can you give us some more details on the load equipment?
