Hello to everyone again,
My first post on “Transformer Maintenance Practise” generated allot of useful information so I would now like to post this new thread on maintenance schedules. I know lots of companies are trying to optimize their maintenance practise and lots of places tend to neglect maintenance until there is an inherent problem. I am reviewing current standard maintenance practises when it comes to power transformers (substation transformers with primary voltage 44kv to 230kv) and seeing what people do for routine inspection and testing. I have had a brief review of the proposed schedules in some of the documents that were mentioned in the “Transformer Maintenance Practise” post. I have summarized how I have interpreted them in a spreadsheet that I have attached to this thread and have also included our current practise. I would like to encourage others to download the excel sheet and add, correct change and update this sheet with their own schedules or the recommended schedules from other sources so we can all benefit from this. I want to be able to look at what are the various current recommendations vs. what people are actually doing.

Thanks in advance to everyone who responds to these posts this is a great forum for discussion.

Maintenance schedule has to be decided based on the criticality of the equipment for your system, age of trf, cost of testing etc.
You have made a comparison of practices followed and you can now take a selection based on your system criticality.
