In previous versions we could transfer settings and menu set-ups from one machine to another by exporting registry keys.
We have just tried this on ST3 and it is giving an error saying "Unable to Create Folder".
SE then opens OK and the QAT settings are fine but the Ribbon customisations are not there.

Any ideas?

Where would we be without sat-nav?

Since ST3 toolbar customizations are stored in a XML file which can be easily transferred to next versions. I have attached a presentation which was presented last week at the launch of ST4.

Yeah, learned that one the first time I re-installed ST3 on my workstation. Everything disappeared.

Thanks for the link Theodore, helpful.

There is no Customisation folder on my workstation in the path indicated in the presentation.
There is a RibbonCustomisation.xml file.
Is this the one, and does it include the QAT customisation?
We are using ST3, MP3

See the attached screenshot from my ST3 help file. It seems that the QAT settings are saved in the registry. It is only in the new ST4 where everything is saved in xml files and in specific sub-folders

Thanks Theodore,
We did transfer the QAT by exporting the registry key but then we got the error on the new machine.
I'll try transferring the appropriate XML files and see if that sorts it out.
