Hi, there was some discussion in other topics about the subject but i dediced to start new topic as I'm a newbie with Pro/E and mechanica.

What are the possibilities to analyse torsional vibration of the crank shaft with Pro/E mechanica (I've got wildfire 3.0)? As for start I only assume that modal analysis could do the thing with unconstrained mode, but can it differ torsional frequency from axial etc. ones?

For the beginning I would only analyse just the crank, then later add possible dampersand movement with engine impulses.
