For some reason I can not get a torsional spring to work in mechanica. I must have tried every permutation but the software will notgive methe frequency for the torsional modes of vibration. Londitudinally it works perfectly.

I have tryed connecting two simple components with a simple spring.I have tryed advanced springs. I have tryed connecting a simple component to the ground. I have contrained the component sothey only have modes of vibration along and about the axes of interest. Nothing has worked.

No matter what I do the software predicts the mode of vibration forthe spring and bodylongitudinally but never return the frequency for the torsional mode.
