On analysing repairs on the A380 beams, we are presented with Torsional plastic bending, as a means of substantiation. This led to a request for the reference text for this. This was provided as "Behaviour of inelastic materials" by James O Smith.
A quick book search shows this was printed by Wiley in 1965, and is now out of print, so our chance of obtaining a copy for reference, is non-existent.
Does anybody know of literature, readily available, or a current reference that broaches this subject.
I would add this is for sections, rather than for circular shafts.
Regards
Jim

I have always been able to borrow any book I needed through an inter-library loan through my local library. And I mean obscure technical books.
