I split a mold in solidworks but i am having problems with interlock surface Option. I am new to this but i understand this to mean that the mold has drafted faces where the mold closes hence the term interlock. My problem is that the draft is going in the opposite direction that i envisioned creating almost a dovetail between the two molds. Does this make sense to anyone? Did i Screw up the direction of Pull? At first i didnt notice, then i bumped up the draft to 15 degrees. Clearly a dovetail. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would greatly appreciated. I programmed mold in mastercam and compared w/STL and i caught this again i am new to mold design, but this doesn't seem normal to me.
Thanks

Sure sounds like you specified the pull direction on your draft to be in the opposite direction of what you intended. Why not try modifying the draft feature and flip the pull direction to see what happens?

Thanks. took care of it. i appreciate your help
