Can't seem to get this simple button to work for me. Need to have a button on the toolbar that will open a predetermined file. I have tried many different variations.

Using AutoCad 2002. Basically just need to do this:

^c^c^cfiledia 0 open f:/adwg/test.dwg

Any help on the syntax would be appreciated.

I could'nt make the script work directly from button menu
but here is a work around.
open notepad and create your script something like this.

_open
"c:/your_dir/yourdwg.dwg"

make sure there is a hard return after the script, this is
the same as hitting the enter key. Name the script with a .scr
extension and save in a location you can find.

Next call the script from your customized toolbar
somthing like this.

^C^Cscript;C:/your_script_dir/your_script.scr;

This should take care of your problem
Good Luck

Hi Cadkid,

Thanks for the info ... I will try it out. I thought I must be going crazy. Seems like such a procedure as opening a drawing would be a simple thing to do with the buttons.

Thanks again,
