Timing belt (distance between pulleys)

Hi Users

* I need to lift a plate ~600x700x30mm by using a Timing belt pulley 4nos
* i decided to drive the main pulley with servo motor, and this servo pulley is connected with other pulley through timing belt
hence the 4 pulley have ball screw this will lift the plate parallely

****My question is what is the maximum distance i can keep between each pulley (i will also place a tensioning idler) but need to know in general what can be the distance between each pulleys without idler

That is a question for your belt supplier.

If the center to center distance is 12" or less you can usually get by without an idler on a toothed belt.
