Thrust block for lamination (welding) connection in GRP

Please help me!

Do I know whether it is required to provide thrust block for laminated (butt welding)connection of GRP pipe lines?

Somebody said me that only separatable joint connection wouldl be required to provide thrust block to against fitting separation.

Is it correct?
