thread1183-402786

I was wondering if anyone found a solution for this thread that was posted in 2016 by as i am experiencing the same error message with the Non Linear Simulation Model that i am currently working on.

Error Message

Solution failure in a Step>1, it could be due to:
The solution may be at a buckling or limit point, i.e.,
displacements grow large under constant forces. If so,
for force control or contact problems, this is the end
of solution (check out the response graphs).
The solver numerical difficulties:
1. For Plasticity models, raise: ETAN >Ex/100.
2. For Nitinol, or large strain plasticity, set:
Maximum-Strain-Inc.=(or >)1. (0.01 defaults to 1.)

I have tried numerous settings to get the Solver to work but nothing works. Please can someone assist.

Regards
Greg

The message says that the NL simulation does not converge, but it is not possible to say exactly what is causing it without looking at a model (I could start guessing but it would not help, say it could be contacts, MNL, very large deflections, buckling instabilities, coarse/deformed mesh issue,......).
So if you can post your model or cad, I can have a look. Any other information will be useful also.
