I am analysing a column for diflection using pro/mechanica. When i try to apply material (Steel) the system prompts me that This body does not contain any volume. Any help on this will be appriciated.

Rajeev,

Take the body in Pro/e and check the mass properties there. It may be a glitch.

Go in proe in Info/Geometry checks and see if you have any problems with your model.
