Thickness range qualification

hi guys.

please can you enlighten me the thickness range of the test coupon stated on the WPS,
EXAMPLE; 20mm thick of SM520 joint design butt groove weld. and what section it falls on the AWS D1.1
what will be the maximum thickness that will be qualify for this 20 mm test coupon plate.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The detail you provided is a T-joint. Are you trying to qualify a T-joint or the material thickness?

Procedure qualification is covered by Clause 4 in AWS D1.1. However, D1.1 has provisions for prequalification if you can meet all the conditions.
