Anyone ever experiment with using a shrink wrap machine to make one-off thermoformed parts? We've got a Cobane shrink wrap machine and I need to make a .062" thick acrylic cover for a project I'm working on. The machine heats the plastic and has a vacuum table, just like a real thermoforming machine. I'm just not sure it can handle the thicker plastic.

It is done all the time. Just be careful.

Thanks for replying! I tried it with .06" plexiglas acrylic and it worked great!
