I would like to know the strain hardening of the crane runway girder. The material of the crane runway girder is acid-proof steel. I know that the ultimate stress correlate with the hardness of the material. Does anybody know is it possible to determine the strain hardening by measure the hardness of the surface?

I hope you understand what I mean. My mother tongue is not English…

What is the specific material of construction used for the girder?

The material is acid-proof steel 1.4432 / SS2343 / 316L (depending on the standard used).
