guys how do one put a boundary a round text. One can do it for dims.

Hi,

for mtext and text, you can use "tcircle" from the Express Tools. But for dims...?
Maybe you can find a lisp in the www.

sorry about that. it will not happen again. I usually just follow what the other guys say and it works. ;-)
 
Dims is easy - there is a switch for it in DDIM
Text is also easy - inthe express tools pull down menu go for text and "enclose text with object". Or use tcircle, which is the routine that the pulldown runs
 
DDIM > Modify > Text > Draw frame around text

It used to be called making a dimension a "Primary" dimension and the Setvar has been changed to DimGap. Setting dimgap to a negative number makes the box appear. You can type dimgap on the command line and set it to whatever you want. Paly and have fun.
 
thanks guys works fine, but it is not part of the text (same as drawing a circle around the text manually).
