Hi all,

I am completing my final year mechanical engineering project modeling
shock and vibration on a simple component. I will be creating the
component in ProE, subjecting it to shock and vibe and obtaining some
results. I will also be getting the actual component built and then
tested at a testing facility for the same shock and vibe.

I'm wondering if anybody has completed a similar process with
Pro/Mechanica? Has anybody checked the results for a modal analysis
with actual testing results?

Cheers

Yes,

Several times. Things to look up is making sure you have realistic boundary conditions, material propeties and damping for your subsequent dynamic analysis.
