hello all
for a petroleum line,

Is the "test pressure" is 1.5 X "Design pressure" according to ASME 31.4

thanks in advance

thank you steve.

Does it mean that I can use a value of 1.5 ?

regards

As 1.25 x is a minimum, use of 1.5 x would satisfy the requirement but you may wish to look at the stresses you will be inducing in the pipeline.

As per ASME B31.4 the minimum Test Pressure is 1.25 x internal design pressure subject that in your pipeline stress induced shall not exceed 90% of SMYS.
So you should check your profile and if any of these conditions are not satisfied change your test sections.
