What is the difference between Class A and Class B tension splice? Which section of ACI 318 deals with it? Appreciate response.

Off top of my head its the ratio of steel supplied to needed, as you get closer to one, the class goes up correct?

Two conditions for Class A:
There needs to be twice as much reinforcing as required by analysis at the splice location.
Only half of the reinforcing is lap spliced within the length of the splice (staggered splices).
