Hi Users
This might be a basic question. I have the following material properties for a material at 10 degree Farenheit (Temperature). Where should I enter 10F in the MAT1 card?
$23456781234567812345678123456781234567812345678123456781234567812345678
MAT1 5 56086.30 .48 .035 0. 0.

Thanks

Hi,

If you want to enter the Thermal expansion coefficient you have to put your value on the "block" number 7. and if you want to put the Reference temperature (TREF) for the calculation of thermal loads, or a temperature-dependent thermal expansion coefficient put the value on the block 8.

1 2 3...
MAT1 5 56086...

Hope that helps
if not, take a look at the nastran QRG by shearching MAT1 card.

Regards.
