Hi everyone. can anyone explain if flanges have any temperature de-rating factors used for design/material? i am aware of the pressure-temperature rating factor when choosing the flange # class. However, I would like to know if there are any temperature de-rating used maybe in ASME VIII Div. 1, ASME B16.5 or any ASME code that is relevant. Thanks

PipelineEgr, you mean aside from B16.5 Table 2 values?

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Have you read ASME B16.5 Mr. Pipeline ?
