I have a couple of teleposts to design. I have concerns about the design of the threaded adjustable 'screw' and the stiffness of the connection. Service load is in the order of 80K (not kN). They will be fit in place after the beam is jacked into place, and the extension will only be a couple of inches. Any suggestions about the design of the threaded extension?
