hello all...
Im a Mechanical Engineer without any previous experience working in Fire Fighting field.Someone please help me on :
how can we know whether a 'T' or 'O'let is used for branch piping?
if O lets are used, then which one to use? thread O let or Weld O let ?

You really needed some proper assistance if you're working in this field, it's not something you just pick up.

As an aid, in general you use tees or reducing tees when the branch size is two pipe sizes down from the header. Below that many people then use weldolets. Weldolet is a brand name. The generic name is "integrally reinforced branch fitting".

What connection on the branch is up to you, whether your connection is screwed or welded. Again in general you don't normally see veered fitting s much beyond 3 to 4 " in diam.

Rather general question so a rather general answer, but you need to get your designs properly reviewed, checked and approved by someone who has experience in your company.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
