Hello experts,

there are different methods using WAVE geometry linker in NX (assembly), e.g. top-down, bottom-up or same level.

Working with NX under TeamCenter, TeamCenter gets the information UG WAVE Geometry, UG WAVE Part Links and UG WAVE Positions. But the information depends on which method you use.

I would like to know,

1) For which use case does TC need UG WAVE Positions (UG WAVE Part Links) - data share with other sites, i.e. export of correct data and assembly relation, clone assembly?

2) What is the advantage having UG WAVE Positions (UG WAVE Part Links) information in TC?

3) What could be the problem if not having (UG WAVE Positions (UG WAVE Part Links) information in TC?

Thanks.

Thank you Jerry.
But this is not what I am looking for. Your link explains PILO.
My questions relate more to TeamCenter attributes.
Since engineers WAVE in all directions I would like to know what are the consequences (problems) if the information UG WAVE Positions in TeamCenter is not available (or wrong).
What was the intention to create these WAVE attributes in TeamCenter and for what is this information necessary.
I went through TeamCenter helps already but can't find any explanation for these WAVE attributes in TeamCenter.
Perhaps the "Evangelist" finds my thread an can give me a good "historical" explanation for these WAVE attributes in TC and for what they are used for/necessary.
Thanks

The Evangelist retired from NX last year, but occasionally stops in for coffee. Hopefully he will be able to help you out.
Don't hesitate to call the GTAC with your questions.
