Teamcenter not loading per load options

My default setup is "as saved" in load options, but when loading assembly - Teamcenter loads prior revisions. My workaround is to use load precise option and update structure on each change. Is there something I need to change to get "as saved" to work.

It happens when I open assembly "as saved" regardless. Both if it is by initiating from Teamcenter without UG already loaded or starting from UG and selecting item from list or recently opened. I was making sure that all right components were in assembly when saving - still on next "as saved" open some of the items were pulled from obsolete revisions. Now each time I have to load using “precise” to assure correct items loading. This is inconvenient because our site standard is “as saved” so I have to switch it each time.

Just for clarification - are these your company defined default load options, or are these the ones you defined as default for yourself? If the prior, then it sounds like your company default load options take precedence over your own.

These are company options so I can't change them. What I don't understand is why some parts are not loaded "as saved" whenever this (as saved) option is used.

Is it the top level or some sub-assembly com pnents that are not loaded as the latest version?

As Saved can be tricky with NX. If you modify a detail, save it, but don't save the next higher assembly, As Saved will load the older component in a new session of NX. The system is doing exactly what you asked it to do.

If I understand the 'precise' rules of TC, that will load the latest of all components.

There is a difference in Load Latest and As Saved. It takes some understanding for all engineers to understand the rules required for good working tools.

Both top level as well as sub assemblies display this behavior. I have entire assembly open when saving and even executed "save all parts" in NX manager but still on next load some older components are being retrieved.

I believe that “precise” loads what is in set precise in PSE which can vary from the latest.

It is strange but those assemblies initially worked OK. At some point something triggers this behavior and past this point each time when loading "as saved" they load some older revs no meter what I do.

I'm hoping there is some setting not set right in TC, so I can request to get it changed, but can’t really point it yet.

Not using TC here, so not sure what to suggest.

If it worked at one time, find who made any changes.
Systemwide changes here are required to be documented.

There were no changes in the system. It apears to be a bug in TC or we dont have it set up right. It just appears that "as saved" load option is not reliable (on this version?)

OK, I did have somebody help me to figure it out. Apparently the issue was caused by internal wave links which did take precedence when loading the parts over load options. Once I updated all links, assembly returned to loading "as saved".

That will do it. The WAVE linked geometry is looking for the specific file. Once you updated the links to the latest versions, everything would work again.

Sometimes the complexity of these systems takes a deeper understanding to utilize them to their fullest capability.
