We are designing a product on which we would like to taper aluminium or magnesium extruded tube. Sizes 60mm OD tapered to 40mm OD, 1,000 long x 3,0 wall. Are there any suggestions as to the best way to do this? Is there a machine available? Thanks.

I'd look up some spinning or swaging companies.

Hydroforming may also be a choice but the length may present a problem.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am not familiar with hydroforming. Can you suggest a site that explains it. Omni Metalcraft's tapered rollers are along the lines of what I want. Do you know how they make them?
