I have made a solid out of a 2D sketch i made. 3 different sections are extruded from this sketch. My problem is that i want to taper one section which is already extruded on a negetive slope instead of positive and i get " error while creating edges resulting from face to face intersection " Also is it possible to create a compound angle on an extrusion. What im actually designing is a Lathe Cutting tool which has clearance underneath the indexable carbide insert which sits in it.

There is a shape (possibly a fillet or a short line segment?) in your sketch which shrinks to a zero dimension (and then tries to go negative) as the tapered extrusion is being "solved". Try making the taper angle smaller, and/or reducing the length that you are extruding through, so that you can see what is happening to the section, and where the problem is likely occurring, so that you can either fix it or figure out a way around it.
