Hi all

I am doing calculation for vertical steel welded storage Tank by using API 650, and need to be Anchorage the Tank. so, how I determined how many anchorage required for the tank? and how to check provided anchor brackets thickness is safe?
Anyone have sample calculation? any help will be appreciate.

Thank you

See the design reference in API-650, Section 5.12.7, for design of the chairs.
Read through the API-650 anchor requirements closely, it's easy to overlook details.
The minimum number of bolts is circumference divided by 10', usually rounded up to a multiple of 4, with a minimum of 4 per 5.12.2.
If this spacing gives you unreasonably large bolts or excessively large chairs, or causes difficulties in embedment design, then increase the number of bolts.
