I have a situation where I have set the tailwater of two connected "ponds" at the same elevation (592). One "pond" is in fact a pond. The other "pond" is modeled to represent the outlet swale to a river (water elevation=592). I have modeled a weir as the outlet from the swale at an elevation of 592. The pond has an outlet structure that, at this elevated river elevation, is underwater.
The model shows that the submerged outlets are moving water and that doesn't make sense. The invert elevations of the outlet structure are all underwater.
There are two scenarios that I would like to investigate. (1) What is the peak elevation in the pond for all design storms when the river is at this elevation? and (2) What arethe discharge rates of the swale for the specified design storms?
