i am designing girth flange for heat exchanger in pvelite. Girth flange face is female and tube sheet face is male type. My question is which facing sketch and column should I select to represent my male-female type girth flange configuration?

inammanj123, noting that Sketch 2.5.2 is for determining effective gasket width only, you will most likely be following Sketch 1(a), or Sketch(2) if using a nubbin (I wouldn't unless using a solid metal gasket).

Otherwise your actual flange & tubesheet facings will look like TEMA Figure F-3.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
