Synchronous Machine Theory College Courses 1

Does anyone know of any good online college university courses that would be beneficial for gaining a better foundation for synchronous machine theory specifically related to synchronous generators. I've been doing of system protection recently involving generators and would like to gain a better foundation for the machine theory in addition to the other texts and resources that I have.

Pitt03 - I recently compiled a listing of about 75 on-line Masters in Engineering programs at colleges and universities in the USA. Since I am retired from an electric utility and, years ago, had several college courses in electric machinery, anything similar to your subject probably would have caught my eye - did not see anything like that. University of Wisconsin Madison has the best programs of this type that I know of, especially through WEMPEC (Wisconsin Electric Machine and Power Electronics Consortium).

Did you pick up on the free material from MIT?

Obviously there might be some cost involved in actually getting a degree from MIT but the notes are decent enough.
