We just upgraded to 2012 AutoCAD.
Previously, I was able to start a move command and in the middle of the command, I could measure and immediately return to my move command where I left off. This worked with copy and all sorts of others.
Now everytime I try to start a command while currently in another command, the initial command gets cancelled.
Is there a switch that needs to be turned off or on to allow this?

Thank you for your time.

preceed the command with an apostrophe?

There may be a switch somewhere for that, but I've never seen it. What you're talking about, just in case you haven't seen the term, autocad calls "transparent commands" if I remember correctly. Someone please correct me if incorrect.

Its a single '
For example when in the move command type 'z to enter the zoom command..when zoom is done it returns to the move command in process.
