I believe the Design Table in SW2006 has got messed up. Models created under SW2005 SP 5.0 and working perfectly do get messed up when opened in SW2006 SP5.0
Let say in (File) Properties you have Weight “defined” as Mass. Then you create Design Table (automatic) and the Table gets “populated” automatically.
When you open the Table again, in the column $PRP@Weight you read 476 (lb) – everything works O.K. and at that point you can use Excel Design Table as a “calculator” – say to convert that 476 lb into 216 kg (say you need to produce “bilingual” drawing).
That works nice and dandy under SW2005 SP5.0
Let say that now you open the same part under SW2006 SP 5.0 – you get warning that it will be converted to 2006 – you go ahead and after conversion the Design Table gets messed up – when you “Edit Design Table” you notice that now in the column $PRP@Weight instead of 416 you have “SW-Mass@@Casting @Part1.SLDPRT” which obviously messes up any notes or formulas that use that cell(s).
Has anybody experienced that ?? Or is there any “switch” somewhere in SW2006 that needs to be “set” or “re-set” to have the stuff working properly (as under SW2005) ?
Thanks for all the replies.
