I modeled a compression spring in SW and the file size is considerably large.
Is there any settings or other options to reduce the file size?

Thanks

If you used a helix then that is why your file is so large. Not much you can do after you use a helix except remove the helix and make a basic spring.

The rule is, if you don't actually make the part, then make it simple don't over design something your not producing.

There are many ways to make a basic spring. Our company just extrudes 2 concentric circles together, make them semi-transparent and controls their height if we want to see it with a Configuration.

if you want to send the file just suppress all the features & then try........

Just for the record, ecosqueeze doesn't really work to reduce file size for files in use. It does reduce the size of the file while it is not in use on the hard drive, but once you open the file and save it again, the file returns to its original size. Basically, ecosqueeze is only useful if you are emailing large files. Beyond that, SolidWorks recommends against its use because so much has changed in the SW file format, ecosqueeze might be removing useful information within the file.
