SW 2000 on Win XP: slduiu.dll memory access error

Hello.

I've been successfully using SW 2000 on Windows XP for years. Two days ago it failed to load with these messages: "Invalid access to memory location." "Could not load SolidWorks DLL: slduiu.dll." I've reinstalled twice with the same result. I think the only change to my Dell 370 system was an automatic Symantec AV definition update. Ideas? Thanks.

Are disabling the AV when installing?

I had not disabled the AV. I tried again using the clean reinstall tips with AV disabled: it worked! Thanks so much.
