SVS separator: Wax cleaning

Hi friends,
Need forum help: During an RCA study, SVS separator needed more internal checks. In the event, planned for few more integrity checks & maintenance work to be completed before re-instating the separator,
a) What is the best method for cleaning wax from Vane pack & swirler tubes of a gas-liquid separator?
b) Is there any advanced NDE technique other than CCTV (boroscope) to check integrity of swirler tubes?
