Survey drafting standards 1

I have a friend that asked if there were any minimum survey drafting standards. He works for a company that has two offices and each office has a preference of how land plats are to be drawn. He was wondering if there were minimum standards for survey drafting to distinguish between standards and preferences. Any info on this subject will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
