Surface partitionning

Hi,

I need to partition surface for FEA in Solidworks
Is it possible to make a partition by:
- surface projection ?
- edge projection or
edge on surface ??

Maybe this question is best posed to the Solidworks section?

However, if you are using Creo Simulate then you can do this type of edge/surface/volume subset using the Regions toolset in the Refine Model tab...
