Suppression by expression combined with a model update

Hi,

I have a master model with parts in a pattern and array. I have to suppress some parts by an expression. And indeed, this works! with suppression by expression. But when I update the model and make it bigger, so that the array put new parts in the assembly and the pattern is creating more holes(these holes are filled with tubes), then the old parts will be suppressed but the new parts not. Is there a manner to suppress all the parts also the new parts?
