What is interesting is that I've seen sources that specifically say activated carbon does not work at all - it is totally ineffective especially in humid climates because water tends to fill the voids. On the other hand, I've also seen sources that say it works to a certain extent but is by far not the best thing on the market (chemisorption being ideal).
Logically, I would think that chemisorption would be most effective.
I wonder if the ionic method - not sure what it is called, but it's something like when you electrically charge ions so they bind to the air impurities that you want to remove - would also work (this way there would be no filters to have to replace). I've heard this technology is used on the large industrial scale. Anyone know if it is effective on a small commercial scale? Building is ~5000 square feet.
