We use the Albér Cellcorder CRT-400(now called something else) along with the companion specific gravity unit (CRT-35). This is utilized maybe 4-8 battery systems very similar to yours per year.
We are required to use this system, because our clients have the software and, well, that's what they use.
The main unit (CRT-400?) works well enough. The companion specific gravity unit has its own memory and thus a data transfer is required between the companion unit and the main unit. The main unit then serves up the data to you PC for report generation, data analysis, etc. The system comes in a nice hard plastic case and has several different sets of leads/probes.
Our reports / test results are scrutinized as the batteries fall under NERC. Additionally, our client extracts the test data and runs it through a spreadsheet to create an average intercell resistance, which isn't given in the OEM manual.
It's always an accomplishment to get all the data into the report the first time. It's always an accomplishment to test all batteries and have good values.
As far as power systems test equipment goes, the Albier system is reasonably priced. I believe the units are manufactured in Europe. I'll try to be as delicate as I can when describing an American perspective on European software. IF you read the manual and do things exactly per the protocol, it's fine. If you are used to installing software and diving in, you may be a bit frustrated. I personally use this equipment just enough to forget all of the tricks with respect to data transfer / importing and have to relearn the process. There are 2 different types to files created that are similar but not interchangeable.
It's on my list to take a closer look at the SBS system. Local support / expertise is very handy. It does me no good to get an email back a week after I've left the site.
