HI I am very new to distribution systems and would like to know how to design substations. Could you please advise how best this could be achieved? Any recommendation of good manuals/guides?

Thank you all

Thank you mate, would appreciate more suggestions and recommendations .

Thank you all, I am very new to substation design and need a guide that can give me an overview of all the available substation types and the design calculation involved in each type .

There isn't really a a single 'right' way to build a substation - factors such as voltage, available space, and operating environment will all play a part. Most utilities will have in-house standards developed over many years of operating experience which define 'the way we do things' for that company; there may be limited scope for doing things differently to the tried and tested designs.
