Shallow foundation
Subsea
code: API-2A
Loose sand
undrained shear strength, c is near zero
friction angle in undrained analysis is to be taken as 0 (API-2A).
API-2A says the resistance to sliding in the undrained condition is H =cA
But this means that the resistance to sliding is not dependant on weight or vertical load. That seems unrealistic
Also since c = 0, H = 0 and that means there is no resistance to horizontal load.
How can this make sense? How to calculate resistance to sliding in the undrained condition with c = 0?

c = 0, phi = 0. Not much strength. Ka = Kp = 1.0. You will still have frictional resistance on the bottom of the foundation. Fr = N x f. Fr is the force resisting sliding. N is the vertical load bearing on the soil. f is a friction factor for concrete(?) on sand, possibly about 0.4.

The undrained analysis is for cohesive soil. You said the soil is sand.

I assuming that your structure is small and no-critical otherwise I would consider piles...
