Subsea Inspection Program 2

I am developing a Subsea Inspection Program for 10 offshore Oil platforms. I am looking for a way to keep track of the inspection data. I have heard of a program called WinCairs, but I do not have any experience with it. Does anyone have experience with WinCairs and/or know where to get it? Are there any other programs or databases for tracking Subsea Inspection data?

Inspection Manager Enterprise by Netlink Inspection Systems is an Asset Integrity Management System that will enable you to capture subsea data including Video, Positional, ROV and any other serial or digital input. It then goes on to store this data to either an Oracle or Microsoft SQL2000 (recommended) database using the customisable capture interface.

The software package provides quality assurance and analysis capabilities and provides 42 standard reports as well as custom reporting facilities. A Planning and Management module will enable risk based inspection principles to be used to plan any future inspections based on historical information.

The software is user-customisable and has been assessed by QCL International and Woodside Petroleum in Australia in independant assessments to be the most suitable inspection management software currently on the market. The software has been in use for over six years and current clients include Qatar Petroleum, Esso (Exxon/Mobil) Australia, Woodside Petroleum Australia, Stolt offshore and Surespek ISS. It has been used for inspections on the Shell Malampaya pipelines recently.

Visualworks [www.vsl.org.uk] is a good database program for recording, editing and storage of offshore pipeline inspection surveys. The ROV survey data is stored in digital format eliminating large quantities of video tapes. Narendranath R

Aker Kvaerner's inspection management application, Coabis has been in use since 1989 for subsea, topsides and onshore inspection management. Coabis is used by companies including Shell UK, British Gas, Conoco, Talisman, ChevronTexaco, TotalFinaElf and Woodside Energy to manage their inspection programmes.

Areas covered by Coabis include: workscope planning; real-time data entry at the worksite (including VCR control, auto-compilation of dive logs, etc.); work progress reporting; full suite of reports; data transactions (enabling multiple vessels to use the application simultaneously, even at the same location, with no loss of data).

Coabis is an Oracle-based application, running on Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP platforms. There are also reporting functions direct to Microsoft Word, and a web-based reporting application, Coabis.web.
