Is Submerged Arc Welding process with Column & Boom Welding is Semi Automatic Process or else Machine Welding as per ASME Sec IX .
Kindly Clarify with clear evidence & example ...

Semi-Automatic SAW is when you hold the electrode/gun in your hand....much like FCAW. Machine is when the gun is held by a holder/mechanical device.

See Definitions in Sec. IX. You have to look under "Welding, machine" and "Welding, Semiautomatic"
