Hello all,

I am studying microwave components with dielectric parts and I am very interested in styrosun material. As Nova Chemicals describes only electrical properties at low frequencies up to 1 MHz, I am looking for more information regarding relative permettivity up to 40 GHz.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Fabio

Hi,

We used to make microwave antenna radome covers out of styrosun - it is basically a high impact polystyrene, with the impact modifier being EPDM rather than the hopeless outdoors butadiene rubber normally used. If you can find them, the rf properties will be very similar to HIPS or PS.
