The distance (clearance) between the bottom of a weep screed in a stucco wall and the top of the intersecting roof shingles should be 2 inches…correct? Can anyone point me to a code reference that states this?
Thanks.

The weep screed is required to be installed at least 4" above raw earth or 2" above paved surfaces. An intersecting roof surface would be the same as a paved surface, so 2" is correct. Reference is ASTM C1063 (paragraph 7.11.5) as referenced in Chapters 25 and 35 of the International Building Code and state codes using the IBC as a model code.
