I imported an STL but when I try to make a drawing, the drawing view is blank. There appears to be something there because I see the drawing properties when click on the space. But nothing is visible. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It sounds like you imported the STL file as a graphics body, as opposed to a solid or surface body. Check your import options when importing the STL file.

You can create a solid from an STL file, although there is a limit on the number of facets in the file. Big files will only give you the option of creating a graphics body.

Does changing the Display Style to Shaded have an affect?
Or maybe a Ctrl Q rebuild?

Are you using a certified video card and driver?

Yes the stl was imported as graphics body. When the solid or surface option is enabled I get an error saying "too many surfaces" and it doesnt work. I looked in the help and it makes reference to the "scanto3d" add-on. I will read more about that. Thanks.
